How To Build A Blind On Your Sneak Boat

When we first bought our first sneak boats 4 years ago it took a few tries to end up with a blind system that we really liked. Here's a video (14 minutes) that shows step-by-step how we blind up our sneak boats along with additional photos.

Additional Notes:

When building this blind you can use doors or not use doors. While Jeff Cuvelier is using blind doors, I (Jeff Matura) just wasn't going to part with $200 for doors. As shown in the video I sill blind the sides of the boat, and then cover my self with two trimmed (width) sheets of Fast Grass sheets.

The biggest advantage of the doors is you don't have to worry about unbagged decoys flying out of your boat while trailering down the road as the doors cover the decoys. Without doors your decoys have to be bagged.

Either footsman nooses from a home improvement store, or nylon eye straps from a boat shop or Bass Pro are attached to the hull with screws and stop-nuts. Don't forget to seal with silicone.
