Quacking Your Way To SuccessWhen ducks become wary, either late in the season or after being heavily hunted in an area, they often shy away from aggressive calling. During those times, the ultimate enticement that will help put mallards in your decoys is; the simple quack of a hen mallard. Mallards respond very well to the single quack of a hen mallard. Your hen mallard quack should be a loud evenly spaced series of quacks that creates the sound of a contented hen on the water. This technique even works when mallards are a 100 yards away.
